How the Plasma Concepts Pen Works

Currently awaiting some FDA approval it is a handheld device that resembles a large pen (hence the name), which sends blasts of plasma into the skin to combat wrinkles and other signs of aging.

These small blasts of plasma cause minor wounds in the skin, activating elastin and collagen production.
As we age, collagen and elastin production slows down, and when it depletes, we notice wrinkles, lines, and thinned skin. As time passes and collagen and elastin are further depleted, wrinkles and lines form. The Plasma Concepts Pen is a phenomenal option to give lift and life to the skin and cause the skin to plump up where needed.
Treatment areas include the entire facial area, including eyelids, cheeks, forehead, and neck.

Common FAQs

With the use of topicals, there should be no pain or even discomfort. The most the patient might feel is a slight tingling sensation.
No, it, unfortunately, does not. You can work this out during the initial consultation with your patient.
The recovery time is usually only based on cosmetic appearance. There is no downtime required due to the nature of the procedure itself. Still, based on what some may consider unsightly dots along the treatment area, one may want to take anywhere from 3-7 days off from work and extracurricular activities until the treatment area is minimized and healed.
Patients should avoid sweating for about ten days post-treatment, which includes spending time in a sauna or the sun and exercise-induced sweating. Sweat could cause further irritation to an already tender area, so avoiding it is best.
Treatment generally runs anywhere from $600 to $2,500 per treatment.
