Class Instructor: Connie Yu
Connie has been in the Aesthetic Industry for over 15 years, and has over 11 years of PDO
thread experience. Aesthetically trained in South Korea, she is well versed and experienced in advanced
Botox, filler and PDO thread techniques as well as aesthetics procedures for the body.
She currently owns multiple med spas with her main location in Chicago. She’s been teaching Aesthetics for over 7
years and has trained thousands of students over the years. Experienced in all types of PDO, PLLA and
PCL threads, aesthetic lasers, advanced injection techniques and the use of cannulas, she loves to share
her knowledge and work with practitioners with all levels of experience. She teaches combination
techniques with new and exciting procedures and techniques and actively works as a consultant to
aesthetic, thread and skincare companies in product development and education, so is on the cusp of
new products coming to market. She has also worked as Director of Operations for a South Korean laser
company and helped products and equipment pass through the FDA approval process and launch
into the US market.
Connie believes that the most important part of any aesthetic procedure is listening
to the patient and helping them achieve their goals the safest way possible, and believes that setting
realistic expectations and using a combination of treatments is the best way to achieve that goal. She
also loves to educate the patients on the procedures, the downtime and discomfort, if any, so the
patient is aware and excited about the whole aesthetic experience. Although truly versed in many
aspects of the Aesthetic industry, she always finds herself coming back to educating and sharing her
experience and knowledge with others.
