What are Sapphire PDO Threads?

Sapphire PDO Threads are an FDA-approved, incredibly safe method for targeting sagging, loosened skin with as minimally invasive of a process as possible. Polydioxanone threads, known as monos, screws, barbs, and hooks, are inserted under the dermis, which provides lift by stimulating collagen production, smoothes out wrinkles, improves quality and complexion, and adds volume to thinning skin.

How do Sapphire PDO Threads Work?

Sapphire PDO Threads, or Sapphire Polydioxanone Threads, work by implementing Polydioxanone threads underneath the skin, giving the skin a lifted appearance like the same effect one would receive from a traditional facelift. These threads can be implemented in the entire face, brow, chin, or neck on a typical basis – or anywhere else that could use a little help. Each of the different threads used, as mentioned above, will serve its own purpose. Additional barbs may be used for various areas across the body, such as the stomach, legs, and buttocks.

Common FAQs

The main side effects of Sapphire PDO Threads are minimal, if any. If there are any side effects to be experienced, one may notice redness, swelling, or some soreness. The patient may experience mild bruising, but that should subside within just a few days. There is no mandatory downtime after the procedure is completed, but each patient can do what they think is best.
Since each patient is different, each patient can decide whether they need a couple of days to rest. Some patients will be ready to return to their regular schedule directly after their procedure, and others will require some downtime. This may also depend on the area which receives treatment and how much surface area is to be treated.
The typical duration of the lift will last around 18 months.
The patient will notice immediate results, though it typically takes close to a month for collagen production to increase enough for noticeable differences in the skin’s smoothness and overall look and feel. Final results probably won’t be visible until approximately 5-6 months post-treatment.
